Responsibilities

  • Grooming the horses before and after exercising them
  • Mucking out the stables
  • Providing fresh water
  • Preparing feed and hay nets
  • General stable duties
  • Changing rugs
  • Talking to clients and helping them with their horses
  • Keeping good public relations
  • Working together as part of a team

Uniform and Equipment

Work uniform will be provided; however, own footwear and riding equipment, including a body protector, will need to be your own.

Training

All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in-person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

Qualifications

GCSE or equivalent pass in English and maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.
