What you’ll do:

  • Produce accurate and detailed tender submissions for loadbearing steel structures, from quantifying technical and site costs through to submitting quotes to clients.
  • Use company estimating software and Microsoft Excel to cost up projects and maintain an accurate cost base.
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams on tender queries, value engineering opportunities, and design change implications.
  • Build and maintain client relationships by phone, acting as a key point of contact throughout the tender process.
  • Support the handover from estimating to design, ensuring the delivery team has everything they need to proceed.
  • Attend client meetings when required and ensure all documentation is comprehensive enough to support accurate quotes.
  • Complete the Construction Quantity Surveying Technician (HNC) apprenticeship, with one teaching day per week.

Qualifications required:

  • 5 GCSEs at grade A-C or equivalent, including Maths and English.
  • A Level 3 qualification (A Level, BTEC, T Level, Apprenticeship or equivalent).
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar drawing software is a plus, but not required.
  • Any exposure to reading architectural drawings, structural engineering, or a client-facing environment would help you stand out.
