Kare Raine Stud owner & manager is an Equine Lecturer with Cert Ed qualified, NVQ Assessor and breeding & performance specialist. They pride themselves on producing employable learners who have gone onto very good careers within the industry in the UK and abroad. They are breeders of sport horses and ponies, competing up to Newcomers BS and showing to HOYS level. The stud is home to Elite graded coloured stallions as well as non-coloured performance stables.

The yard accommodates 35 horses and features fantastic facilities including an indoor school, outdoor school, and XC course. There is an opportunity to attend shows and groom at a high level.

Duties include all general horse care:

  • Mucking out
  • Grooming
  • Tacking up
  • Riding
  • Lunging
  • Clipping

The apprenticeship is based fully onsite, with limited time spent in the classroom. If you didn't gain your GCSEs at grade 4 or above, assistance will be provided to achieve that on programme. Accommodation and livery are options available.

This location ideally seeks a rider to exercise the horses, so competence in riding is preferred. The interview will be a trial day onsite. You must have lived in the UK for 3 years or more to be eligible for this role.

All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in-person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
