Main responsibilities:
- Welcoming patients to the practice in a polite, friendly and professional manner.
- Answering incoming telephone calls, managing queries appropriately and directing calls to the correct team or clinician.
- Booking, amending and cancelling appointments using the clinical system.
- Supporting care navigation by signposting patients to the most appropriate service or healthcare professional.
- Processing patient requests, including prescription queries, test result enquiries and general administrative requests.
- Maintaining patient records accurately and confidentially.
- Handling correspondence, scanning and filing documents.
- Supporting the wider administrative team as required to ensure service continuity.
- Adhering to practice policies, procedures and confidentiality requirements at all times.
