Family run livery and training yard based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire seeks equine groom apprentice. September start, or sooner for the right candidate. Plenty of opportunities for the right candidate - 20 horse yard, excellent facilities, indoor stables, lunge pen, horse walker, indoor and outdoor arena. Riding a possibility. Must have previous experience in horse care and be a team player. Not accessible by public transport.
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Duties
- Turning out and bringing in
- Mucking out
- Dealing with livery clients
- Feeding, watering and haying
- Grooming
- Clipping and trimming
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the yard at all times
- Bandaging
- Tacking up
- Lunging/long rein
Qualifications required
GCSE grade 4 or above in maths and English is desirable but not essential.

Prospects
Progression onto the Level 3 Senior Groom a possibility after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
