Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of B2B accounts, maintaining a minimum GPM of 18%.
  • Identify and engage potential customers within your region.
  • Develop accounts through structured pipeline management (NBT process).
  • Promote value-based selling and avoid price-only competition.
  • Execute professional telesales calls and follow up on quotes using Phocas.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets.
  • Manage orders and backlog efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with your regional team to meet shared sales goals.

Customer & Supplier Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with installers.
  • Advise clients on tailored security solutions to meet their needs.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers to ensure customers are trained on latest technologies.
  • Recover carriage costs on orders below £250.

Project & Process Support

  • Support project planning with credit and stock control teams.
  • Apply and log project pricing accurately.
  • Work with manufacturer BDMs to secure pricing and support.
  • Identify and implement process improvements as part of apprenticeship requirements.

Administrative & Software Skills

  • Use Microsoft including Excel for data tracking, reporting, and analysis.
  • Maintain CRM systems and shared email inboxes.
  • Plan and manage weekly diary and itinerary.
  • Attend training sessions and update Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours weekly.
  • Host meetings, manage small projects, and demonstrate decision-making processes.

Apprenticeship Learning Commitment

  • Allocate 6 hours per week to complete Level 3 coursework.
  • Meet regularly with your local trainer to track progress.
  • Complete all course requirements including project work and assessments.
  • Working hours: Monday – Thursday 9-5.30pm, Friday 9-5pm

Training

STANDARD & LEVEL

The successful candidate will work towards completing the Level 3 Business Administration Standard from the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education. Delivered by Blackpool and The Fylde College offering expert tuition and exceptional facilities.

Your B&FC apprenticeship is made up of several different elements and each one reflects your individual abilities and career goals. Our expert tutors and assessors have relevant industry experience and will support you to achieve all your goals.

Off-the-job training

Developing your skills at work is called on-the-job training, 20% of your apprenticeship (equal to one full day a week) will be ‘off-the-job’. This might include attending College, tackling projects, online learning, coaching, shadowing, or training for your job.

Stacks of support

Assessment mostly takes place in the workplace. When you start, you will be allocated a skills coach, who will visit you at least once a month to guide and support you and help you to plan for your future. We will also provide you with specialist.

Qualifications required

Level 3 a minimum of English and maths grades A*- C (9-4) (or equivalent) are desirable OR willingness to complete Functional Skills Level 2 are a requirement to have or to achieve before EPA Gateway.
