Hyperion Equestrian is a livery, training and competition yard situated in the Devon countryside, just east of Haldon Hills, Exeter. They offer a full selection of livery services alongside a comprehensive breaking and schooling service for horses and ponies. Hyperion combines first class professional facilities with a caring and relaxed atmosphere.
They are looking for a Level 2 equine apprentice who has a keen passion for horses and the outdoors who would like to further their training and education within a supportive environment. Full training will be given and there will be riding and competing opportunities for the right candidate. Experience is not essential; however, you must show passion and a keenness to learning and wanting to improve and develop.
The ideal candidate will be able to work well as part of a team, have a love of horses whatever the weather, and be a friendly person.
Progression and future opportunities: Further qualifications to lead to job opportunities in competition yards and BHS training towards exams.
30 - 40 hours over a 4-5 day week. Accommodation is available as is livery for own horse.
Training: All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Qualifications required: Level 4+ in GCSEs / Level 1+ in Functional Skills desirable but not essential. Contact Haddon Training to discuss if not yet achieved - Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills Maths and English.
Skills required: Good basic equine experience is required; you must also show passion and a keenness to learning and wanting to improve and develop.
