They are a friendly , professional livery yard with 21 horses. They expect the right candidate to be professional at all times and to maintain the high standards that they have worked hard to achieve.
The right candidate will a hard working , team player. This position will be a non riding Equine Groom Apprenticeship .

Mucking out
Turning out/bringing in
Tack cleaning
Tacking up
Feeding
Filling hay nets
Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
Bathing
Rug changing
Attending competitions with either owner or senior groom and training when possible
Communicate with liveries
Hacking
First aid
Exercising horses from the ground (lunging and long reining)

Holding for vet/farrier/dentist/physio

The apprenticeship is based full time practically on site so not lots of time sitting in a classroom. If you did not gain your GCSE\’s we can support you to gain Maths and English whilst on programme.
There is no accommodation on site but if space own horse welcome.
You have to be a UK resident to apply and have lived in the EU for 3 years or more.

Training
All training will be provided on
site during your paid working hours.
Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination
of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training
Trainer Coach.

Qualifications required
A GCSE or equivalent pass in English
and maths is beneficial but not essential.
If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your
Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.

Skills required
Candidates should have some experience in the equestrian industry.

Prospects
Possibility of Level 3 Senior Groom Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2 for the right candidate.
