Overview
Apprentices joining the team will gain exposure to a variety of farm and equestrian operations, providing a broad, hands on learning experience in a professional, supportive environment. They are looking for an eager and committed apprentice to join their team. The role will involve assisting with the equestrian centre operations, general yard duties.
Responsibilities
- Mucking out/ keeping yard clean and tidy
- Grooming / picking out feet
- Tacking up
- Feeding/ filling haynets
- Filling water containers
- Exercising ponies and small horses
- Working – Tuesday to Saturday 8am until 5pm with 1 hour lunch break
- No Accommodation available must be able to commute
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach
Qualifications
- You must not already hold a qualification in Equine Studies at Level 2 or above, as this will make you ineligible for the apprenticeship.
- If you do not already have qualifications in maths and/ or English, Haddon Training will support you in gaining Functional Skills qualifications at level 1 or 2.
- Passionate about working with horses and willing to learn
- Reliable, hardworking and a team player
- Able to commit to the required working hours and flexible schedule when needed
