All general yard duties:

  • Mucking out / keeping yard tidy
  • Feeding / filling haynets / water buckets
  • Grooming / Tacking up
  • Turning out / rugs on and off
  • Preparing horses for competitions
  • Travelling to shows
  • Riding available for the right candidate

Training:

All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

Qualifications required:

A GCSE or equivalent pass in English and maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.

Skills required:

  • Basic equine experience
  • Confident with all sizes of horses / ponies

Prospects:

  • Progression to the L3 Senior Groom BHS Stages
  • Possibility of full time employment

Duration: 12 Months
