Overview
Level 2 Autocare Technician apprenticeship offered by Robert Bosch Ltd. An exciting opportunity at your local Bosch workshop to learn all aspects of the Autocare Technician role while working as an apprentice. If you’re passionate about cars, Bosch provides top-tier training on the latest products and innovations with dedicated trainers to support your knowledge and skills. Training will be provided both on the job and at the Bosch Training Centre in Denham. This apprenticeship begins when the next intake starts in Autumn 2025 and may provide the opportunity to progress to a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeship upon successful completion of the Level 2 standard.
To qualify, you will need a grade 2 or above in Maths and English at GCSE level (or equivalent).
Responsibilities
- Learn the fundamentals of specific vehicle systems, including but not limited to:
- Steering & Suspension
- Braking Systems
- Battery & Charging Systems
- Exhaust Systems
- Air-Conditioning Systems
To further support the Level 2 Autocare Technician qualification, additional elements are integrated into the training, such as:
- Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service
- Parts and Stock Management
- ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
- FGAS (Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases)
- Basic Electric Vehicle Awareness
Training & Eligibility
This is a Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship, delivered by Robert Bosch Ltd. Training is delivered on a block release basis at the Bosch Training Facility in Denham. College-based training is away from home and requires staying in a hotel for 15 weeks (Mon – Fri) over the 24–30 month duration. All associated costs for training are funded by the employer/programme with no cost to you. Assessments are conducted at the workplace by a dedicated training assessor, and you will be assigned a workplace mentor. Qualification awarded on completion: Autocare Technician Level 2. There may be an opportunity to progress to the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeship upon successful completion of the Level 2 standard.
