About the Role
We're looking for a Product Strategy Manager to drive Murphy into new markets, countries and new businesses. You'll own where we play next — which country, which product, which channel — and turn that call into a shipped, repeatable, scaling reality. This is a founder's right hand on strategy and expansion, with outsized leverage over where the company goes.
Murphy builds AI voice agents that collect overdue debt for banks: more recovered, faster, cheaper, fully compliant, and respectful to the debtor. We're live with Santander, Revolut, BBVA and dozens others. We've proven the product in large-scale pilots with top-tier banks — now we're taking it into every market and every adjacent business, and we need someone to own that expansion end to end.
What you'll do:
- Own where we play next. Which countries, which products, which channels. Size the opportunity, and make the call.
- Stand up new bets 0→1. Take Murphy beyond collections — loan servicing, receivables, financial-crime agents, the mid-market, etc. — from thesis and sizing to go live.
- Turn channels into an expansion engine. Sequence the multi-market relationships — Santander, Revolut, BBVA — gated by proof, not ambition.
- Dive deep and problem solve. Interview experts and build own expertise. Get to the root of complex, ambiguous problems — regulation, unit economics, channel margin — and design solutions that solve the root cause elegantly.
Who you are:
- A highly analytical and creative visionary. You've come up with successful and bold bets, taken them 0→1 — a market, a product, a function — whether as a founder, a strategy or operations lead, or a PM.
- You own outcomes, and you never settle. You turn ambiguity into a clear plan and hold a high quality bar under speed.
- You have a STEM degree, and you were top of your class. You're technical, rigorous with numbers, and have a strong philosophy of a champion.
- AI-native, ruthless on quality. You reach for AI to automate and streamline by default — and you know exactly where it gets sloppy. You never let that through, and you control quality rigorously.
- You don't need a collections or fintech background. We'd rather teach the domain to a killer than hire a lifer who can't ship — you'll pick up regulation, unit economics and a new market cold, fast.
What we offer:
- Salary at the top of the benchmark.
- Fair equity with enormous upside potential.
- Ownership - Murphy's strategy is yours to drive.
- Small team, high autonomy, and outsized impact.
- The founding team's direct attention, and a category with a $300B+ industry behind it.
Our Process:
- First Interview – Getting to Know You: A conversation with a future teammate who’s excited to find a new colleague. We’ll talk about your story, what drives you, and what you’re looking for next—no trick questions, just a genuine exchange.
- Second Interview – Deep Dive: You’ll meet the Hiring Manager and potentially another team member. This is a more technical discussion where we explore your skills in detail, walk through real scenarios, and answer any questions you might have about the role.
- Tech Assessment or Business Case: A practical exercise to see how you approach challenges similar to those you’d tackle at Murphy. You’ll have time to reflect and showcase your thinking—no rush, no surprises.
- Call with the Founders: Our founders meet every team member and it’s a great opportunity for you to learn about the company and its direction.
We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where everyone, regardless of background, identity, or experience, feels valued and empowered to thrive. We believe that different perspectives drive innovation and success, and we actively foster an environment where all voices are heard and respected.
