As a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Technician, you will carry out planned preventative and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of electromechanical systems across Eurotunnel's infrastructure. The role involves fault diagnosis, repair, inspection and maintenance of a range of systems, including electrical, mechanical, automation, hydraulic and building services equipment. You will work in accordance with safety, operational and maintenance procedures, contribute to continuous improvement activities, and support the ongoing availability of key infrastructure assets.

  • Carry out planned preventative and corrective maintenance on electromechanical systems and infrastructure assets.
  • Diagnose faults and undertake repairs to restore equipment to operational service.
  • Record maintenance activities accurately within the Maintenance Management System.
  • Respond to equipment failures, anomaly reports and operational requirements in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with operational control centres and other stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Complete safety documentation, permits and maintenance records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Comply with Health & Safety requirements and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits and reporting activities as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Minimum Operating Requirements (MOR) and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Support maintenance planning, quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in training activities and share technical knowledge with colleagues where appropriate.
  • Support other Infrastructure systems and services as required to meet operational needs.
  • Undertake other duties reasonably associated with the role.
  • Flexibility to work a 24/7 roster and participate in an on-call rota.
  • Meet the medical requirements associated with the role.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Relevant electrical or mechanical qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience carrying out maintenance, inspection, fault-finding and repair activities in an industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, utilities, transport, facilities management or similar environment.
  • Experience working with electrical and/or mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements relevant to maintenance activities.
  • Ability to diagnose technical faults and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • UK driving licence and Passport.

Desirable

  • Experience with industrial automation, hydraulic systems or building services equipment.
  • Experience working in a safety-critical or regulated operational environment.
  • Additional language skills, including French.
