Effective Project Management is key to its success.
Our Life Science Project Managers must be able to effectively plan and manage the execution of complex projects. They are responsible for all activities in the UK and Ireland where our equipment is going to be installed, ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget. Working across a UKI and international supply chain, they must be adept at quickly analysing issues and re-planning appropriate aspects of their project. They are also responsible for driving improvements and standards within the PMO of Getinge UKI.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:- Project Management of Life Science Capital Equipment and Upgrade / Rebuild Projects.
- Taking the lead on a key component of Project Management e.g., Lessons Learned, Risk, Schedule and managing wider projects team development in the subject.
- Using project tools for Management of Customer through complex project milestones including FAT, Installation and Commissioning whilst managing customer expectations throughout.
- Manage the interfaces between customer and internal resources.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure that customer projects are delivered on-time, within scope (from order hand over to signed acceptance document) and within budget.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- European travel to participate in FAT.
- Participate in meetings with the customer at the installation site.
- Develop a detailed project plan to track, monitor, and control progress.
- Use appropriate technical verification to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Manage the relationship with the client and other related stakeholders.
- Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in life science or engineering sector. Demonstrable experience at working in matrix based organisation. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills (English). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities. Ability to work under pressure planning and leading geographically dispersed teams to meet tight deadlines. Project Management experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience of managing Installation and Commissioning resources. Knowledge of Life Science regulatory environment, especially. Educational background preferably in the field of engineering.
