Job Purpose
To champion and drive forward the growth of the business within the designated territory, by developing relationships with key influencers. To provide specialist sales support to key customers/clinicians who in turn provide the best possible solutions for patient care. To promote a range of products for Cardiopulmonary ECLS solutions and Transplant Care, manufactured and marketed by Getinge Group. Clinical support, to include education and training for internal and external stakeholders is required.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- To design and implement action plans which will positively affect revenue growth and profitability.
- Meet sales targets / establish opportunities and develop strategies to maximize opportunities.
- Experience or ability to conduct your duties within a theatre and critical care environment, maintaining the highest level of professionalism.
- Provide Clinical support to customers with training, education, evaluations, trials, troubleshooting and follow up visits. All training must be strictly to the instructions for use for all devices.
- Collaborate with extended Clinical Applications Team members to support study days and training courses at the new Derby Centre of Excellence.
- Assist regulatory and marketing, with implementation of needed action items.
- Plan clinical support activity to effect growth and maintain the safe and effective use of products.
- Use Showpad as a tool to provide education and marketing materials to customers. Manage and monitor all shared spaces to keep documents up to date. Create any training documents in Showpad.
- Provide regular updates and proper intelligence on all activities to Sales Manager.
- Seek new opportunities within accounts whilst managing the accounts.
- Support promotional activity as directed by sales management.
- Responsible for timely completion of administrative tasks and projects.
- Provide feedback and support for any clinical trials conducted by customers.
It is essential to have excellent written and spoken English.
UK Requirements: Eligibility to work in the UK & Ireland (essential).
Driving Licence: Required to hold a valid UK drivers licence, preferably a clean licence but no more than a maximum of 3 penalty points.
Travel: Ability to travel within the UK, Ireland and abroad with overnight stays as and when required.
Other Information
This is a full time, permanent position. Due to the nature of this role, there may be a requirement to undertake work outside of normal hours i.e. evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Previous experience of the commercial sector in the medical equipment arena - desirable. Knowledge of KOL’s across all accounts and hospital departments within the territory area - desirable.
Skills & Ability
- Delivery of training / coaching programs – essential.
- Strong organisational skills – essential.
- IT skills with experience in the use of MS Office Software and Web Internet based communication - essential.
- Excellent understanding of the NHS procurement processes and tendering – desirable.
