London, Waterloo (Hybrid, 4 days in-office - Wednesday is our set work from home day, though you can come in on Wednesday too if you wish).
We are disrupting one of the world's largest asset classes, property. With £4Bn+ assets on our platform and 30,000+ users across 70 countries, we're building the future of asset ownership and in doing so, are able to address wealth inequality. Our product simplifies property investing from start to finish, making real estate investment accessible to everyone.
What you'll love doing:
- Taking data initiatives from concept to deployment, working in cross-functional product teams.
- Owning the full data stack, moving fluidly between SQL transformations, dbt modelling, and business-facing analytics, using AI tools as your co-pilot throughout.
- Partnering closely with Product, Design, Growth, and RevOps to make data usable, trustworthy, and accessible across the business.
- Defining analytics practices for an AI-first development culture, with room to shape how data evolves at GetGround as we scale.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning GetGround's data function, building the platform that powers decision-making across the business.
- Developing a deep understanding of the business to proactively surface insights and influence strategy through data.
- Governing our Count Metrics Catalog (semantic layer) and building trust in data across Product, Design, Growth, and RevOps.
- Owning and evolving our dbt Warehouse layer with modular, testable, well-documented models.
- Supporting Mixpanel event instrumentation via Avo to keep product analytics semantics rock-solid.
- Enabling self-serve analytics, not just serving stakeholders, but empowering them.
What we're looking for:
- 4+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a hybrid role with production-grade experience.
- Fluency in SQL and dbt; comfortable with git and cloud warehouses (we use BigQuery).
- Experience as a solo or near-solo data person (comfortable prioritising independently and owning outcomes without a team behind you).
- Someone who can move between engineering and business-facing analytics without losing quality on either side.
- A collaborative, proactive mindset (you'll define the roadmap, challenge assumptions, and ask 'why?' frequently).
This role isn't for you if:
- You want fully remote work. We're hybrid, 4 days in-office.
- You prefer being handed requirements rather than defining the analytics agenda yourself.
- You need a large data team around you to do your best work.
- You're looking for a slow-paced environment. We move fast, own outcomes, and live by our values: no BS, pursuit of excellence, feedback obsession, and healthy ego.
