Get Fix Ltd are looking for an experienced Bid Writer to lead and manage the end-to-end bid process.

Working closely with the Directors and wider business, the Bid Writer will identify and assess new tender opportunities, develop effective bid strategies and coordinate the preparation of high-quality, compelling submissions that maximise the organisation’s chances of success.

This role will can be remote, depending on location.

  • Key Responsbilities
  • Lead the end-to-end bid and tender process, from opportunity identification through to submission and post-tender review.
  • Work closely with Directors and Contract Managers to identify, assess and develop commercially viable tender opportunities.
  • Develop tailored bid strategies and produce compelling, customer-focused submissions that meet requirements and evaluation criteria.
  • Research clients, markets and competitors to identify insights, trends and opportunities that strengthen our bidding approach.
  • Coordinate input from internal stakeholders and subject matter experts, ensuring accurate and timely contributions.
  • Manage pricing, commercial information, clarifications and tender documentation to ensure compliant, high-quality submissions.
  • Lead tender presentations, interviews, customer meetings and post-tender debriefs, capturing lessons learned to continuously improve future bids.
  • Ensure successful bid commitments are clearly communicated to operational teams and translated into effective delivery.
  • Maintain an accurate bid pipeline and oversee key company accreditations, registrations and tender-related requirements.
  • Support the organisation’s wider business development and communications activity, including social value initiatives, networking, social media and website content.
  • You'll have
  • Proven experience in a Bid Writer, or similar role.
  • Strong bid management experience, with the ability to lead tenders from opportunity identification through to submission.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce persuasive, customer-focused responses.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to assess opportunities strategically.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of the bid process.

Desirable

  • Experience working within the construction, facilities management, engineering, utilities or wider built environment sector.
  • Experience with public sector and/or regulated procurement processes and tender portals.
  • Experience managing company accreditations, including ISO, Constructionline and Gas Safe.
  • Experience developing and delivering social value commitments within tender submissions.
  • Experience coordinating customer presentations, tender interviews and clarification meetings.
