Role OverviewWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our reactive maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial gas systems across a variety of sites, ensuring safe and compliant operation at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Attend reactive breakdowns and carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on commercial gas appliances and systems.
Perform scheduled planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks on commercial gas equipment.
Install and commission new commercial gas plant and pipework when required.
Ensure all work is completed to current Gas Safe and industry standards.
Complete all relevant compliance documentation and job reports using handheld devices or paperwork.
Participate in out‐of‐hours call‐out rota and occasional weekend work as required.
Liaise with clients and site staff in a professional and courteous manner.
Ensure compliance with company H&S policies and RAMS.
Required Skills
Minimum 3 years\’ experience in a similar commercial gas engineering role.
Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications (ACS): COCN1, CCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1 / TPCP1A.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Sound knowledge of current regulations and best practices.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Desirable
Additional Qualifications in LPG, Catering Gas, or Domestic Gas.
Experience working in data centres, hospitals, schools, or other high‐risk commercial environments.
Awareness of basic building services systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, BMS).
