We’re looking for a Head of Content Operations and Integrity to bring rigour, insight and infrastructure to the commercial heart of Yoto’s content business. Our catalogue already spans 1,000+ titles across multiple regions and formats, and we’re only just getting started. This is the person who makes sure our ambitious growth plans are profitable, operationally sound and 100% safe for kids.
If you want to lead the operational and commercial engine that powers our incredible audio – and has helped make Yoto one of the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK – we’d love to hear from you.
About Yoto: Yoto is a screen‑free interactive audio platform for kids. We make carefully connected audio players that kids control, with no microphones, cameras or ads. We have a catalogue of audio that inspires creative play and learning with 1,000+ titles in our card store from top creators, publishers and labels – think Disney, Marvel, Roald Dahl and Universal Music. We also create Yoto Originals like BrainBots.
We’re on a mission to be the soundtrack of childhood, and help families on their own unique adventures. By creating products that inspire independent play, we help families discover and grow with an inspiring world of audio – and we would like you to help us achieve it!
Yoto’s Content Team: Content is at the heart of our business, and we have a global team of children’s media specialists – with experience across publishing, music, education, rights, and audio production – who are responsible for curating, creating and moderating every title that makes it into our library. We partner with the biggest names in the world of kids’ entertainment – including Universal Music Group, Pottermore, Penguin Random House, Disney and many more – to license and distribute the very best audiobooks, music and podcasts in English, French and Spanish (with more languages to come). We also develop and produce our own content, both in collaboration with licensed brands and as part of our award‑winning Yoto Originals range.
Our Content Operations & Integrity team is responsible for ensuring every piece of content – from a Disney classic to the latest music launch – moves seamlessly and safely from its source to families worldwide. The operational engine of the department, this team of system and data experts act as the bridge between Content and our counterparts in Product, Engineering, Design and Supply Chain, and are responsible for the frameworks that allow us to scale our content library efficiently, without compromising trust or safety.
What you’ll be doing: This role is the operational and analytical engine of Yoto’s content business. You will build and own the financial infrastructure, data frameworks, systems and workflows that allow our catalogue to scale profitably – and safely – across the world. You will be the Content Director’s primary operational partner, building and maintaining the infrastructure that makes every commercial decision about the catalogue faster, more consistent and better grounded in data.
- Lead the Content Operations & Integrity team, owning the systems, frameworks and workflows that allow Yoto’s catalogue to scale profitably and safely.
- Own the Content team’s KPI framework across acquisition, margin, sales and consumption – serving as the definitive source of truth on catalogue performance and translating data into clear recommendations for the Content Director.
- Build and maintain the margin frameworks, deal templates and playbooks that enable licensing leads to evaluate titles consistently, with portfolio‑wide views that inform investment decisions.
- Own the operational layer of royalty reporting, ensuring metadata, deal terms and consumption data are accurate and complete, and act as the content data provider to Finance.
- Build the infrastructure that enables regional content leads to source and acquire new content, including scoring frameworks, relationship tracking and the data layer that keeps acquisition decisions grounded in evidence.
- Own the criteria for when titles are retired, discounted or promoted, and build the editorial playbook for catalogue curation.
- Own the Content team’s requirements for the Content Platform and drive the transition to self‑serve ingestion portals and automated workflows in partnership with Product and Engineering.
- Define the global content standards that govern what is and isn’t permitted on Yoto; oversee audio and transcription moderation and architect the AI‑assisted tooling that makes it scalable as we open to independent creators.
What you’ll bring: A proven track record designing and scaling content supply or catalogue operations in a high‑growth, multi‑region business – you’ve built systems, not just managed teams. Commercial and financial fluency: experience building margin frameworks for a content or media catalogue and making the numbers legible and actionable for senior stakeholders. Experience leading and developing a team in a fast‑moving operational environment, building a culture of rigour and continuous improvement. Confident owning a KPI framework end‑to‑end – building it, presenting it, and using it to drive decisions rather than just report them. Familiarity with rights tracking, royalty reporting and the operational complexity of a multi‑format, multi‑region catalogue. Experience transitioning teams from manual to automated, technology‑first operations; comfortable working with Product and Engineering to define and ship. Able to operate credibly across Finance, Engineering, Product, Legal and Creative – translating complexity into clear outcomes. Enough understanding of content moderation and UGC risk to design frameworks that protect a platform used exclusively by children. A self‑starter who thrives where the playbook doesn’t yet exist.
Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 based on experience. We never want to miss out on great candidates, so don’t let our banding put you off reaching out – there’s sometimes flexibility for the right fit!
What you can expect from Yoto: Flexibility: Hybrid working – expectation of 1 day a week on average in our London office, but you are welcome to come in more than this. Take advantage of our ‘work from anywhere’ policy to work from a different location for up to 6 weeks every year. Summer Hours policy to use between the months of June and August.
Financial: Receive Income Protection, covering long term sickness for up to 2 years and company sick pay that increases with length of service. Life Assurance cover from day one of your service. Workplace Pension offering up to 3% employer contributions, following probation. Generous employee referral bonus scheme.
Health & Wellness: Private Medical Insurance via Aviva, or a Wellbeing Allowance to be used for memberships, subscriptions, treatment or therapy. Access to 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) through WeCare and unlimited access to Dental advice and guidance via Toothfairy. Bike to work scheme to promote healthier lifestyles.
Time Off: 25 days of holiday per year, plus
