What You’ll Do
- In this hands-on role, you’ll bring energy, fresh ideas, and attention to detail to marketing across multiple platforms.
- Working closely with the wider marketing team and the Content Manager, you’ll deliver impactful campaigns that showcase our journals, news, and thought leadership content.
- You will take ownership of sourcing guests for podcasts, creating interview questions, editing content, writing scripts for reels, generating leads, and writing engaging content for our website.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Marketing & Lead Generation: Write thought leadership and lead generation content that engages pharmaceutical audiences, drives platform traffic, and reinforces EMJ as a trusted industry voice. Source, research, and write weekly news stories on the pharmaceutical sector, delivering timely and accurate content to maximise reach and readership.
- Social Media & Content Creation: Plan, write, and schedule engaging posts tailored for both healthcare professional and pharmaceutical audiences. Develop eye-catching creative assets for LinkedIn, X, and Instagram using Adobe Express that highlight breaking stories, journal content, and industry insights.
- Digital Campaigns & Email Marketing: Write and schedule engaging email campaigns using HubSpot for both healthcare and pharmaceutical audiences, tailored to specific segments. Utilise campaign performance metrics to refine strategy and improve open rates, click-throughs, and overall engagement.
- SEO & Analytics: Optimise all digital content for SEO, applying best practices for keywords, headlines, metadata, and internal linking. Utilise content performance metrics on web content to keep up with trends and opportunities.
- Podcast & Guest Outreach: Identify, approach, and secure high-profile guests for the EMJ GOLD podcast. Support with research into guest backgrounds and preparing thoughtful, engaging interview questions to ensure high-quality discussions.
- Quality & Output: Partner with design colleagues to ensure all marketing materials are visually compelling, professional, and consistent with brand guidelines. Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and consistency across all outputs, ensuring alignment with EMJ’s tone of voice and brand values.
Who You Are
- A confident and creative content marketer with exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Experienced in producing digital content across a variety of platforms, including social, web, email, and multimedia.
- Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Skilled at using content to attract, engage, and convert professional audiences.
- Experience with SEO, video editing, or B2B content marketing.
