I solve disputes involving company directors and shareholders. Barrister clerks and legal administrators with significant experience of dealing with clients directly: I would be interested to hear from you, in confidence, if you are interested in a new challenge with my new direct access business. You will ideally be based near Birmingham (or even better, Walsall). You will be a risk-taker (since you will be working for a fresh start-up), and you will be highly motivated to build a brand from nothing to household name. This is not a role suited to somebody who is looking for their next step in legal practice. This is primarily a sales role, and you will not gain any direct exposure to law.

Experience

  • At least 12 months of experience either as a barrister's clerk or a similar role within a law firm.
  • Understanding of the different types of hearings that take place in the county and family courts of England and Wales.
  • Demonstrable experience in sales of services.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining relationships with barristers and their sets of chambers.
  • Dealing directly with members of the public, to understand their needs and to find the right barrister.
  • Converting warm leads to sales. There will be no cold-calling.
  • Using LinkedIn and social media to promote the brand.

  • Fast learner when it comes to different technologies, such as our CRM and VOIP system.
