Lead Development Engineer in Luton

The Role

As a Professional Services DevOps Engineer, you will partner directly with our most strategic customers to design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and DevOps platforms, leveraging modern tooling and cloud-native technologies. You will play a key role in guiding customers through their DevOps transformation, from architecture design to hands-on implementation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with enterprise customers to design and implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps platforms
• Build and optimize pipelines using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Engineering teams
• Work closely with developers and DevOps teams to ensure successful adoption of solutions
• Design and implement build and release pipelines across ecosystems (e.g., Java, Node.js, Python)
• Deliver technical workshops, enablement sessions, and training to customers and communities
• Provide feedback to product and engineering teams to help shape future roadmap and features
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies across DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native ecosystems
• Build strong, trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or related engineering roles
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools and technologies such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, artifact repositories, and build systems
• Hands-on experience building software delivery pipelines across multiple ecosystems (e.g., Java, Node.js, Python)
• Solid understanding of infrastructure and operations (compute, networking, storage, security)
• Experience with configuration management and deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Kubernetes)
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux environments
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Customer-facing experience with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting both on-premise and cloud-based environments
• Exposure to software architecture and system design is a plus
• Strong learning mindset and passion for open-source technologies
