Are you a skilled and passionate Horticulturist Landscaper with a love for plants and creating beautiful outdoor spaces? Join our client's team where they build and maintain stunning outdoor spaces for clients in the construction industry. They are looking for dedicated Soft Landscapers to help bring projects to life.
The Role:
- Based in London and the home counties
- 7:30am - 5pm
- Salary circa 30k
As a Soft Landscaper, you will be a key part of the team, working hands-on to transform landscapes. This is a physical and rewarding role that requires a strong work ethic and a good eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing garden beds and soil for planting.
- Planting trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals according to design plans.
- Laying turf and sowing lawns.
- Spreading mulch, compost, and other soil amendments.
- Using and maintaining hand and power tools safely.
- Assisting with general grounds maintenance, including weeding and pruning.
What They're Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience in a professional soft landscaping role is essential (e.g. 2 years of experience preferred). RHS or equivalent certification would be beneficial.
- Knowledge: A good understanding of plant species, soil types, and horticultural best practices.
- Physical Fitness: The ability to handle physically demanding work and to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Driver's License not essential but preferred.
- Team Player: A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience within the construction industry is not essential but preferred. Good time keeping is essential. CSCS card required.
