Our client is a unique and welcoming 9-bed home supporting individuals with a range of needs, including nonverbal communication and behaviours that may be challenging. It’s a lively, social place, full of curiosity, fun, and the occasional playful prankster! From trips out to local attractions, to volunteering at a nearby farm, to enjoying a simple cuppa and a chat, their residents love making the most of every day.
They are now seeking a passionate, positive and proactive Registered Manager to help lead and ensure they continue delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred support.
Our client sits on Whitby’s beautiful West Cliff, steps from the seafront and walking distance to beaches, the Pavilion, shops, leisure facilities and more. Originally a hotel, it has been thoughtfully refurbished into specialist accommodation with multiple flats and a range of on-site activity spaces.
Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Registered Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance and quality of the service. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strong, person-centred leadership to the staff team.
- Ensuring high-quality care delivery in line with CQC standards.
- Completing audits, supervision and appraisals.
- Managing HR processes including recruitment, absence management and rota generation.
- Ensuring compliance with MCA and DoLS.
- Driving continuous improvement and best practice.
- Maintaining excellent communication with residents, families, staff, and stakeholders.
- Delivering positive outcomes against agreed KPIs.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold, or be working towards, a Level 5 NVQ in Leadership and Management.
- Be an experienced Registered Manager (preferred).
- Have substantial management experience within residential or nursing services.
- Be a car driver.
- Have confidence and experience in MCA/DoLS compliance.
- Be highly organised, proactive and committed to person-centred care.
