Our client is an independent Charity that has been providing residential and supported living care for adults with a learning disability for over 50 years. They are extremely proud of their person-centred care provision ensuring that their ethos of people first, disability second is at the very core of what they do. Our client is seeking kind, reliable, and empathetic female carers to provide high-quality personal care and support to their service users. This role involves close personal care, and due to the nature of the support required, there is a genuine occupational requirement for female staff under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for service users by assisting them in daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. This position requires a patient and empathetic individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those they support.

Duties:

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Assist with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to support clients effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in behaviour or health status.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to develop and implement care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.
  • Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients.

Full flexibility is required, this will entail working days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Please note that they operate on a 12 hour shift basis and require a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week.
