Our client is an independent Charity that has been providing residential and supported living care for adults with a learning disability for over 50 years. Our client is seeking kind, reliable, and empathetic female carers to provide high-quality personal care and support to their service users. This role involves close personal care, and due to the nature of the support required, there is a genuine occupational requirement for female staff under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for service users by assisting them in daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. This position requires a patient and empathetic individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those they support.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to support clients effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in behaviour or health status.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients.
Full flexibility is required, this will entail working days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Please note that they operate on a 12 hour shift basis and require a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week.
