Our client is a food sales and marketing company supplying major multiples, foodservice, cash and carry, and the travel sector. They are seeking an organised Receptionist / Secretary to join their team and work closely with their sales director. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with office experience looking to develop their administrative career.
Role hours: Monday - Friday; 09:00 - 17:00
Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and clients.
- Answer incoming calls promptly and direct them appropriately.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate meetings effectively.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and postal mail.
- Utilise Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail and Sage administrative tasks.
- Assist with orders, invoicing, billing, and basic bookkeeping duties as required.
- Support other administrative functions such as photocopying, scanning, and organising office supplies.
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and professional at all times.
Skills:
- Previous office experience with strong secretarial skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, Sage and Google Workspace applications.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong typing and punctuation/grammar skills to facilitate efficient document preparation and correspondence.
- Demonstrated clerical experience supporting busy workload and periods.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new software or procedures as required.
