We are looking for an experienced Door Entry & Access Control Service Engineer to join a permanent, full-time team working across social housing and commercial environments.

You’ll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of access control and door entry systems, diagnosing faults and completing repairs to a high standard.

The role offers plenty of variety and would suit an engineer who enjoys solving technical issues and delivering a reliable service to customers.

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a technically confident engineer with a strong background in door entry and access control who can take ownership of their work from initial diagnosis through to completion.

You’ll be organised, reliable and comfortable managing your own workload, while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

A flexible attitude is important, particularly when responding to reactive work and supporting out-of-hours requirements.

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on door entry and access control systems.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently, ensuring systems remain safe and operational.
  • Manage daily workloads effectively, including accurate job logging, timesheets and service documentation.
  • Follow all relevant health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Provide a professional, flexible and customer-focused service across a range of sites.
  • Participate in overtime and an out-of-hours on-call rota when required.

  • Proven hands-on experience with door entry and access control systems.
  • Experience across installation, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding.
  • Strong technical ability with excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience within social housing, commercial environments or other life safety/security disciplines would be advantageous.
