Whether you already have experience installing gaseous fire suppression systems or you're an experienced sprinkler fitter looking to develop your skills in a specialist area, this could be the ideal next step. Suppression Fitter / Sprinkler Fitter Role & Responsibilities: Reporting to a Project Manager, you will be responsible as a fitter for the mechanical installation and commissioning of fixed fire suppression systems. Your responsibilities will include: * Installing gaseous fire suppression systems in accordance with engineering drawings, project specifications and relevant industry standards. * Carrying out pipework installation, cylinder positioning, nozzle installation and general system assembly. * Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and installation plans. * Undertaking system pressure testing and supporting commissioning activities. * Completing installation documentation, site reports and quality assurance records. * Working closely with clients, site managers, subcontractors and project teams. * Maintaining high standards of health and safety, workmanship and professionalism. * Travelling to sites throughout London and the South East. Suppression Fitter / Sprinkler Fitter Skills & Experience Required: The successful candidate will need to demonstrate: * Proven, hands on experience as a pipe fitter/ sprinkler fitter. * The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans. * Experience installing pipework and mechanical systems. * Good communication skills and work professionally whilst working on client sites. * A practical, hands-on approach with a strong focus on quality and safety. * A valid CSCS card or happy to obtain one. * Gas suppression experience is advantageous. * DBS check may be required for some sites.
