The Job – Shunter Driver Class 1 (Cat C+E, HGV1, LGV1)
- Operate Class 1 vehicles to safely move trailers within yard and depot environments
- Complete basic vehicle checks and ensure all safety standards are maintained
- Communicate with transport teams to coordinate trailer movements efficiently
- Follow all site health and safety rules, including proper use of PPE and yard procedures
- Keep accurate records of completed moves and report any vehicle defects promptly
Skills and Experience Required – Shunter Driver Class 1 (Cat C+E, HGV1, LGV1)
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Previous shunting or yard driving experience essential
- Ability to work days, nights, and weekends on a rotating or fixed pattern
- Must hold a valid DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
