Role & Responsibilities:
- Installation, maintenance, and inspection of passive fire protection measures, including fire stopping around penetrations, service ducts, and structural openings.
- Assessing and repairing defective or damaged fire stopping systems to ensure compliance with building regulations and industry standards.
- Carrying out site surveys to identify fire safety risks and recommending appropriate remedial actions.
- Maintaining accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections.
- Adhering to health and safety protocols, using PPE, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Traveling to multiple sites as required, ensuring high-quality workmanship at all times.
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience in fire stopping, passive fire protection, or related building safety work.
- Solid understanding of fire safety regulations, building regulations, and fire-resistant materials.
- Ability to read technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- A full UK Driving Licence or equivalent (required).
- Health & Safety awareness and experience working safely on-site.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Firestop Competency Certification or equivalent (Desirable).
- Passive Fire Protection Training (Desirable).
- CSCS Card (Desirable).
- PASMA, IPAF, or other relevant site access qualifications (Desirable).
