  • Covering the North West and Yorkshire
  • Door to door travel paid
  • Overtime available at 1.5x / 2x, depending on the time and day worked

Project Engineer Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer or Project Engineer to take technical ownership of integrated security projects from start to finish.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to become more involved in the complete project lifecycle while remaining technically hands-on.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers, engineers and subcontractors to ensure projects are properly planned, technically sound and delivered successfully, from initial handover and prestart planning through installation, commissioning and final client handover.

Project Engineer Role & Responsibilities

  • Taking technical ownership of projects from handover through to completion.
  • Supporting pre-start planning, installation, configuration, testing and commissioning.
  • Working closely with Project Managers, engineers and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Carrying out system configuration, testing and commissioning.
  • Ensuring projects are fully completed, documented and successfully handed over to clients and the Service team.
  • Working across a broad range of integrated electronic security technologies, including, CCTV, Access Control & Intruder Alarms.
  • Working with leading manufacturers and platforms including Hanwha, Wisenet, Axis, Milestone, CEM, Kantech, Honeywell Galaxy, Comelit, Advancis, 2N and more.
  • Travelling across Yorkshire, the North of the UK and other UK locations as required.

Project Engineer Skills and Experience

  • Experience working as a Commissioning Engineer or Project Engineer within the electronic security industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience with integrated security systems.
  • Ability to take technical ownership of projects from installation through to completion.
  • Experience with system configuration, testing and commissioning.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  • Knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection and Intercom Systems.
  • Experience working with integrated security management systems.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and project documentation.
  • Confident working closely with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors and clients.
  • Willingness to travel across Yorkshire, the North of the UK and other UK locations when required.
  • Full UK driving licence
