We are currently on the look out for a Fire Extinguisher Engineer to carry out the servicing, maintenance, and installation of portable fire extinguishers across a range of client sites. The role is field based and involves working independently as well as within a small team, ensuring all work is completed in line with current fire safety regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain, and install portable fire extinguishers in accordance with BS 5306 standards
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits
  • Complete accurate certification, service records, and compliance documentation
  • Ensure all work meets current fire safety regulations and company quality standards
  • Provide a professional and customer-facing service on client premises
  • Manage and maintain stock and equipment within the company vehicle
  • Communicate clearly with clients regarding completed works and recommendations
  • Support occasional working away assignments as required (typically 2–3 days per month; some months this won’t be required) with all travel, accommodation, and meal expenses covered.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health & safety procedures at all times

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in fire extinguisher servicing or fire protection engineering preferred
  • FIA qualifications (or equivalent) desirable, though training can be provided
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Confident communication and customer-facing skills
  • Full UK driving licence required
