We are currently recruiting for an experienced Door Entry & Warden Call Engineer to join an established and growing security business. The role will involve travelling across the UK, carrying out installation, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding works across a range of social housing and residential sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a long term position with a well established company, competitive salary, company vehicle and a strong benefits package.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Installing and configuring door entry, access control and warden call systems
- Carrying out testing and commissioning to ensure systems operate correctly
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs and remedial works
- Completing planned installation and maintenance works
- Accurately completing service reports and compliance documentation
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with Health & Safety procedures
- Liaising professionally with tenants, site managers and property managers
- Providing customers with guidance and training on newly installed systems
- Working closely with engineers, supervisors and project managers to complete works on time and to a high standard
- Travelling across the UK, with occasional overnight stays when required
Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience within security systems installation and maintenance
- Proven experience with door entry and warden call systems
- Knowledge of systems such as Videx, Intratone, Paxton, PAC and Tynetec
- Good understanding of basic networking principles
- City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent qualification in electrical, security or related systems
- Full UK driving licence or equivalent
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety within construction, security or engineering environments
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Professional and customer-focused approach
- CSCS card
- Experience working within social housing
- Additional experience with CCTV, access control or other electronic security systems is desirable
