The Job - Class 2 Skip Driver (HGV2/LGV2)
- Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle to deliver and collect skips from various locations.
- Ensure correct loading and unloading of skips, following all safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections, including customer signatures and any relevant documentation.
- Perform daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects or maintenance issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries and collections.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, ensuring the safe transport of materials.
Skills and Experience Required - Class 2 Skip Driver (HGV2/LGV2)
- Valid HGV Class 2 (C) licence with a clean driving record (no more than 6 penalty points)
- Experience in skip or waste management driving
- Ability to operate a Class 2 vehicle safely and efficiently, including reversing and manoeuvring in tight spaces
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers
- Must hold a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card)
- Must hold a Digital Tachograph card
