- Must have held your HGV1 licence for 1 year
- Must have container experience (DP World Card essential)
- Day shifts start between 4.00‑6.00am
- Night shifts start between 4.00‑9.00pm

Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 1 articulated lorries with automatic gearboxes, primarily for container transport.
- Complete deliveries and collections efficiently.
- Utilise smartphone or tablet devices to log collections, drops, and status updates in real‑time.
- Comply with all site‑specific procedures, especially within port environments.
- Observe all Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations, ensuring accurate logging of driving hours, breaks, and rest periods.
- Follow health & safety protocols and adhere to both agency and client operational policies.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with legal and company requirements.
- Maintain a professional attitude and provide excellent service to clients and customers.
Skills and Experience
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C&E) licence.
- Valid DP World Card.
- Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC).
- Valid Digital Tachograph card.
- Ability to use electronic devices (EPODs, smartphones, instruction screens).
- No more than 6 penalty points on driving licence.
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience driving HGV1 class vehicles with containers.
- Good level of English (spoken, written, understood).
- Strong working knowledge of UK motorway network and WTD regulations.
