Package Overview:
- Salary: £36,000-£40,000 Per Annum (Dependent on Experience)
- Car Allowance: £5,000 Per Annum

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team, focusing on generating new business across the South East of England. This is a fantastic opportunity for a sales professional to take on a high-impact role within a growing international business.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Drive growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities across all freight modes, including air, sea, and road.
- Engage and build relationships with potential clients, developing tailored logistics solutions to meet customer needs.
- Represent the end client professionally in all interactions with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain regular contact with existing clients to enhance relationships and identify further service opportunities.
- Collaborate with overseas agents and internal departments to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Manage and update CRM records, tracking progress, and following up on new and existing opportunities.
- Conduct in-person client visits across the designated territory, promoting our services and negotiating contracts.
- Liaise with suppliers and operational teams to ensure competitive pricing and service reliability.
- Support the wider sales and operations team with insights from the field, including market trends and customer feedback.
- Assist in producing accurate quotations and service proposals tailored to specific client needs.
Skills, Experience and Competencies:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar sales role within the freight or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of import/export operations across air, sea, and road freight.
- Proven track record of developing business and managing client relationships.
- Ability to understand and sell complex freight solutions, including customs processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a commercial mindset.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfortable with CRM systems.
- Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple accounts and tasks independently.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
- Ability to work from home, with occasional attendance at Basildon or Heathrow offices as required.
