An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Automation Engineer (Multiskilled) to join a growing engineering business delivering services across commercial and residential environments. This field-based role offers a varied workload including reactive repairs, planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and installation of automated access systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customers' automated door, gate, and barrier systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational while delivering exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend emergency call-outs and carry out fault diagnosis and repairs.
- Service, maintain, and repair automatic doors, gates, and barrier systems.
- Install and commission automated access equipment.
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, and system assessments.
- Complete detailed service reports and job documentation.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate timesheets and work records.
- Participate in an on-call rota and undertake overtime when required.
