About the role
Subject to contract award, we are looking for a dedicated and professional Team Lead to join our Connect to Work service. As a Team Lead - Connect to Work, you will lead a team of Employment Specialists supporting people with disabilities, health conditions, neurodiverse needs and other significant barriers to employment. You will work closely with participants, employers, health services and community partners to ensure high-quality, person-centred support that helps people move into and sustain meaningful employment. Alongside leading and developing your team, you will maintain a small caseload of participants who require more complex support and help ensure the service delivers positive outcomes, quality standards and contractual requirements. This role would suit someone who enjoys developing people, building partnerships and creating an environment where both colleagues and participants can succeed.
What you will do
- Lead, support and develop a team of Employment Specialists delivering the Connect to Work programme
- Provide regular coaching, supervision and guidance to ensure high-quality participant support
- Monitor team performance and support colleagues to achieve agreed outcomes and quality standards
- Maintain a small caseload of participants with more complex support needs
- Support team members with participants experiencing disabilities, health conditions, neurodiverse needs and other significant barriers to employment
- Build effective relationships with employers, health services, local authorities, community organisations and referral partners
- Support service improvement activities and contribute to the development of local delivery plans
- Review performance information and identify opportunities to improve quality, outcomes and participant experience
- Ensure programme delivery meets safeguarding, compliance and contractual requirements
- Keep accurate records and follow required processes
- Communicate clearly with participants, colleagues and external partners

Minimum essential criteria
To be considered for this role, you will need to evidence in your CV that you meet the minimum essential criteria below:
- Experience leading, supervising, mentoring or managing staff
- Experience supporting people facing barriers to employment, learning, wellbeing or progression
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, health conditions, neurodiverse needs or other complex support needs
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Good organisation, attention to detail and ability to follow agreed processes
- Evidence of commitment and follow-through in previous roles, education, volunteering or other responsibilities
- Evidence of delivering outcomes, targets, tasks, projects or agreed objectives
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work
- Ability to explain your employment history clearly, including any gaps or short-term roles
- Confidence using digital systems, email and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a structured environment where quality, compliance and outcomes are monitored
- Commitment to Get Set UK's values and to supporting people who may face barriers to work, learning or progression
- Willingness to complete all required recruitment checks, including right to work, references and DBS checks where required

Desirable criteria
It would be helpful if you have:
- Experience within supported employment, employability, welfare-to-work, careers, social care, health or community services
- Experience managing performance, quality standards or contractual outcomes
- Knowledge of supported employment approaches, including the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) or Individual Placement and Support (IPS)
- Management, Leadership, Coaching, Careers or Advice and Guidance qualifications
- Experience working with employers to create opportunities for people facing barriers to employment
- Experience supporting individuals with complex health conditions, disabilities or neurodiverse needs
