About the role
As a Senior Skills Account Manager, you will develop and manage employer partnerships that create apprenticeship opportunities and support successful learner outcomes. You will work with employers, learners and internal teams to identify workforce needs, generate apprenticeship opportunities and convert these into successful starts, whilst ensuring quality, compliance and retention standards are met. This role would suit an experienced apprenticeship, training or skills professional with a proven track record in sales, employer engagement or account management who is comfortable working towards targets and managing a national employer portfolio.
What you will do
- Develop and manage relationships with employers across England
- Generate apprenticeship opportunities and achieve agreed starts and performance targets
- Manage a live pipeline of employer opportunities from first engagement through to learner onboarding
- Act as the primary contact for employers throughout the recruitment and onboarding process
- Work closely with delivery, learner support and compliance teams to ensure successful outcomes
- Keep accurate records and follow required processes
- Ensure activity complies with ESFA funding requirements, safeguarding and quality standards
- Represent Get Set UK professionally with employers, stakeholders and partner organisations
- Identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term employer partnerships
- Communicate clearly with participants, colleagues and external partners

Minimum essential criteria
To be considered for this role, you will need to evidence in your CV that you meet the minimum essential criteria below:
- Travel - nationwide is to be expected for this role
- Demonstrable experience over a number of years of working within apprenticeships, training, skills or workforce development
- Demonstrable experience over a number of years in a sales, business development, employer engagement or account management role
- Evidence of personal achievement against sales, starts, placement, revenue or employer engagement targets.
- Experience building and managing employer relationships
- Experience managing a sales or employer engagement pipeline and progressing opportunities to successful outcomes
- Good organisation, attention to detail and ability to follow agreed processes
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Evidence of commitment and follow-through in previous roles, education, volunteering or other responsibilities
- Evidence of delivering outcomes, targets, tasks, projects or agreed objectives
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work
- Ability to explain your employment history clearly, including any gaps or short-term roles
- Confidence using digital systems, email and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a structured environment where quality, compliance and outcomes are monitored
- Commitment to Get Set UK's values and to supporting people who may face barriers to work, learning or progression
- Willingness to complete all required recruitment checks, including right to work, references and DBS checks where required

Desirable criteria
It would be helpful if you have:
- Experience working for an apprenticeship training provider
- Knowledge of apprenticeship funding and compliance requirements
- Experience using PICS or similar learner management systems
- Experience managing national employer accounts
- Relevant sales, business development or account management training or qualifications
