• Deliver one‐to‐one careers guidance sessions
• Run structured workshops on CV writing, interview skills and job search
• Help individuals set realistic goals and action plans
• Identify skills gaps and suitable training routes
• Record activity accurately and maintain compliance standards
• Work closely with prison staff and external partners

You will offer encouragement, set clear expectations and maintain professional boundaries.

You will work inside a secure prison setting. Prisons operate on strict routines. Entry and exit are controlled. Personal items are restricted. When you are on site, you are focused fully on your role. This is not a flexible environment; it is organised and disciplined. Many people find the structure purposeful and rewarding.

• Experience delivering one‐to‐one guidance or group sessions
• Confidence using IT systems to record activity
• Understanding of safeguarding and compliance
• Ability to manage difficult conversations professionally
• Ideally Level 3 or above in Careers Information, Advice and Guidance, or willingness to work towards it
