Role Purpose

You’ll support people facing barriers to work by coaching them through confidence-building, skills development, and practical job search - helping them take positive steps toward employment.

Success in this role looks like participants making measurable progress, securing and sustaining work, and feeling supported and empowered at every stage of their journey.

Your Role: What You’ll Achieve

At Get Set UK, we believe in giving people the tools and support to unlock their potential - and that includes our own team. As a Graduate Employment Advisor, you'll start your career with purpose, supporting jobseekers into meaningful employment while gaining real-world coaching, commercial and sector experience.

This is your chance to build skills that matter, in communication, coaching, organisation and problem-solving, all while helping others progress into work and independence. You'll be part of a collaborative, mission-led team that’s driven to make a difference, one person at a time.

In this role, you’ll help jobseekers build confidence, identify opportunities, and move forward with support. You’ll gain hands-on experience in employment support, while being fully trained, guided, and developed by experienced colleagues.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Strategic Direction: Understand programme goals and structure your day around real outcomes for real people.
  • Deliver Results: Help participants become job-ready with CV support, job search guidance, and interview preparation.
  • People & Communication: Build rapport with participants, coach them through change, and communicate clearly with employers.
  • Get It Right: Keep accurate records, follow safeguarding processes, and stay on top of tasks and updates.
  • Business Acumen: Learn about local labour markets and contribute to connecting people with the right roles.

This role is ideal for a graduate who wants to build a meaningful career in employment support, recruitment, coaching or social impact - and who’s ready to take that first step with support and structure behind them.

Who You Are

You’re ready to start your career with purpose. You might be a recent graduate or someone early in your professional journey, but you’re motivated, people focused, and eager to learn. You show up on time, communicate clearly, and take pride in helping others succeed. You understand that our customers expect us to model employability, so you lead by example.

Specifically, you bring:

  • A degree in any subject (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Curiosity and drive - you live learning, problem solving and challenging targets.
  • A proactive mindset - you take responsibility for your own development
  • Empathy and resilience - you support people through challenges and change

No experience in employment support? No problem. We’ll train and support you - what matters most is your attitude, potential and values.
