About the Role
We are looking for a Freelance Vocational Tutor – Business & Administration to deliver structured, high-quality learning in core business and office skills. You will help learners achieve accredited qualifications that open doors to office roles, apprenticeships and further study. This is a teaching role with clear expectations, defined hours and outcome-focused delivery.

Environment / Working Conditions
- Location: centre-based delivery in Belfast

What You Will Do
- Plan and deliver engaging business and administration lessons
- Teach accredited vocational qualifications in Business & Administration
- Cover core topics such as office procedures, communication, basic IT, teamwork and customer service
- Prepare learners for assessment and help them understand employer expectations
- Support progression into employment, apprenticeships or further study
- Build strong, professional relationships with learners
- Maintain complete and accurate registers, records and learner files
- Work with delivery and quality teams to meet performance and compliance targets

- Use real business examples and case studies to keep content relevant
- Where appropriate, connect learning to local labour market needs and typical office roles
- Represent Get Set UK professionally with partners, employers and other stakeholders

You will succeed if you are organised, consistent and confident leading a structured classroom. You are comfortable working to targets, managing paperwork and meeting deadlines. You enjoy helping learners understand how classroom activities link directly to real work.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Business, Administration or a closely related area
- PGCE, CIT or recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to start the CIT within two years of appointment
- Experience teaching, training or facilitating learning in education, community or workplace settings
- Ability to plan, deliver and assess learning at different levels
- Strong organisation, time management and classroom management skills
- Clear communication style and a learner-first approach
- Commitment to inclusion, progression and safeguarding
- Comfortable using IT to support teaching and record-keeping
A Day in the Role
Your day begins with checking your lesson plan, resources and registers. You arrive early, set up and make sure you know who is attending. During the lesson you set expectations, explain concepts in simple language and use practical examples from real workplaces. You monitor engagement, support those who need extra help and keep the group on track. After the session, you complete registers, update learner files, mark work where needed and plan the next lesson. It is structured, accountable work with visible impact.
