You will:
- Deliver Essential Skills Numeracy / Application of Number programmes
- Prepare learners for accredited assessment

We are looking for someone who can evidence:
- Subject expertise: You hold a degree where Mathematics forms at least 50% of your studies (Maths, Engineering, Physics, Economics or similar).
- Teaching qualification: You hold a recognised teaching qualification in line with ES Circular 01/12.
- Accredited delivery experience: You have experience delivering Essential Skills Numeracy or Application of Number.
- Professional structure: You plan thoroughly, manage classroom expectations and maintain accurate documentation.
- Learner engagement: You can build confidence while holding clear academic standards.
- Safeguarding awareness: You understand the importance of safeguarding and compliance in all delivery.
A typical teaching day starts with preparation and a clear lesson objective aligned to the Essential Skills curriculum. In the classroom, I set expectations early and link the content to practical examples that learners can relate to. I monitor engagement and adapt my approach where needed, without lowering standards. After delivery, I update records, review progress and plan the next session carefully. The goal is not just exam success, but building confidence and practical understanding. It is structured, purposeful teaching with measurable outcomes.
