We are looking for a Freelance Essential Skills ICT Tutor to deliver high-quality digital skills teaching aligned to accredited standards. This is purposeful teaching. We are looking for someone who can evidence:
- Teaching qualification: A recognised teaching qualification in line with ES Circular 01/12.
- Accredited delivery experience: Experience delivering Essential Skills ICT or similar accredited digital qualifications.
- Professional structure: Clear lesson planning, strong classroom management and consistent record-keeping.
- Digital confidence: Ability to translate digital skills into practical workplace relevance.
- Learner engagement: Ability to build confidence while maintaining expectations and standards.
- Safeguarding awareness: Commitment to safeguarding and compliance requirements.
Essential qualifications: GCSE (A–C) or equivalent in English and Maths (or Level 2 Essential Skills)
A Day in the Life of a Freelance ICT Tutor
A typical teaching day starts with reviewing lesson objectives and ensuring the session aligns to the Essential Skills framework. In the classroom, I set expectations clearly and connect digital skills to real workplace scenarios, such as email communication, spreadsheets or online safety.
