About the Role
This is a full-time, employed teaching role delivering Essential Skills Maths and Essential Skills ICT to adult learners. The delivery is structured, accountable and aligned to accredited standards. You will work on-site in Belfast, with a predictable timetable and clear expectations around attendance, planning and learner progress. What You Will Bring
- A recognised teaching qualification in line with ES Circular 01/12
- A degree with at least 50% Maths content (Maths, Engineering, Physics, Economics or similar)
- Experience delivering Essential Skills Numeracy and Essential Skills ICT
- Strong digital confidence and ability to apply skills to workplace tasks
- High standards, reliability and a commitment to structured delivery
- GCSEs (A–C) or Level 2 Essential Skills in English and Maths
- Understanding of safeguarding and compliance requirements

A typical day starts with reviewing plans and ensuring sessions align with the Essential Skills framework. In the classroom, you set expectations early and connect maths and digital skills to practical workplace situations such as email communication, spreadsheets, budgeting or online safety. You monitor engagement closely and support learners at different starting points without lowering standards. After each session you update records, reflect on learner progress and prepare for the next day. The role is structured, purposeful and outcome-focused.
