You will manage a structured caseload, support individuals to become work ready and work directly with employers to generate live vacancies. Success is measured by people starting work and sustaining employment. This is an office‑based, full‑time role. It is not home‑based.

What This Role Is Really About

Employment creates stability, confidence and opportunity. This role exists to make that happen. You will combine practical employability coaching with proactive employer engagement. You will challenge where needed, support consistently and take ownership of outcomes. This is not about activity for its own sake. It is about progression into work.

Work Schedule and Environment

  • Office based Monday to Friday working pattern
  • Structured diary with back‑to‑back appointments
  • Performance‑led environment with clear targets
  • Regular employer sales and marketing activity

What You Will Do

  • Manage a structured caseload with clear job outcome expectations
  • Deliver focused one‑to‑one appointments aimed at moving people into work
  • Provide CV writing, application and interview preparation to employer standard
  • Coach professional behaviours such as punctuality, preparation and attendance
  • Proactively engage local employers to generate live vacancies
  • Promote job‑ready candidates and match them to suitable roles
  • Drive applications, interviews, job starts and sustained outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely records on CRM systems
  • Meet safeguarding, compliance and data security requirements

Employer / Stakeholder Element

  • Build and maintain relationships with local employers
  • Understand recruitment needs and respond quickly with suitable candidates
  • Convert employer conversations into interviews and job offers
  • Maintain an active vacancy pipeline aligned to customer readiness

What Makes Someone Successful Here

  • Reliable, organised and consistent
  • Comfortable working to targets and being accountable for results
  • Balance support with constructive challenge
  • Follow through on commitments
  • Believe employability only works when it leads to jobs

What You Will Bring

Essential
  • Experience in a target‑driven, outcome‑focused or sales‑led role
  • Experience working with customers, clients or employers
  • Strong written communication skills, including CVs and applications
  • Confidence using IT systems and managing accurate records
Trainable
  • Employability and welfare‑to‑work knowledge
  • Employer engagement techniques
  • Internal systems and processes

A Day in the Role

Your day may start with back‑to‑back customer appointments focused on applications and interview preparation. You may then speak to or visit employers to discuss vacancies. The afternoon could include supporting interviews, updating records and following up on job offers. Some days will feel fast‑paced. Progress is not always immediate, but consistency matters.

What You Will Get From This Role

You will build strong coaching, employer engagement and case management skills. You will gain experience that leads to progression within employability, employer engagement or leadership roles. You will be supported by clear targets, structured management and a collaborative team.

Benefits

  • Vitality private medical support including GP, mental health and physio access
  • IncentFit, earning up to £360 per year for staying active
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme for counselling and financial advice
