This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Manager, People Manager, Senior HR Manager, HR Business Partner, People Business Partner, Senior HR Business Partner, Head of HR, People & Culture Manager, Employee Relations Manager or HR Operations Manager who enjoys combining strategic HR with a hands-on leadership approach.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, the HR Manager will play a key role in shaping people strategy, driving employee engagement, leading organisational change and ensuring the delivery of an outstanding HR service across a multi-site organisation.

THE ROLE
As the HR Manager, you'll lead a small HR team while supporting senior leaders across the full employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities include
- Lead, develop and mentor the HR team, ensuring a proactive, customer-focused HR service.
- Act as the lead HR Manager, providing expert advice on complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance management.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to develop workforce plans that support organisational objectives.
- Drive employee engagement, wellbeing and retention initiatives.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities.
- Use HR data and workforce insights to influence business decisions and identify trends.
- Support organisational change projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure HR systems, external providers and people processes operate efficiently and deliver an excellent employee experience.

You'll also have
- Ideally previous experience working within schools, education settings, or public sector.
- Strong employee relations and employment law knowledge.
- Experience delivering both strategic and operational HR initiatives.
- CIPD Level 5, CIPD Level 7 or equivalent HR experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience driving engagement, wellbeing and organisational change.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Experience within education would be advantageous, but applications are also welcomed from HR professionals working within healthcare, local government, charities, housing associations, manufacturing, logistics or other regulated environments.
