Full time, South Manchester. Salary up to £80,000 plus great benefits and hybrid working. We are excited to work with one of the biggest UK leading investors, who are on the lookout for a Group Finance Manager / Senior Finance Manager to join their team. Joining at a pivotal time, you’ll be managing the day‑to‑day financial operations of various UK holding and investment companies. You will play a key part between the CFO, Divisional MD and the wider leadership team for an expanding company of approximately £5 billion.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for Group Financial Reporting, Statutory Accounts and Quarterly Group Reporting
- Oversee financial operations across various UK sites
- Produce annual group consolidated financial statements, review, challenge and validate submissions
- Own financial reporting, financial reviews, cash‑flow forecasting, audits, monthly management accounts and annual budgets
- Prepare board reports, presentations and monthly business updates
- Prepare PSA returns
- Review maintenance of books and records across the portfolio of the group
- Partner with the FC to enhance reporting processes
- Manage, coach and develop three direct reports
- Support the wider finance function
Qualifications
- ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
- Commercially focused.
- Experience working within an accountancy practice desirable but not essential.
- Strong technical accounting experience, ideally within a group handling complex financial reporting.
- Experience with VAT and tax returns.
- Experience of people management, training and coaching.
- Ideally you will have worked with MRI systems; Excel is essential.
