My client is a well established Chartered Insurance Broker working with the commercial sector and is now looking to expand their team after recent unprecedented growth. Due to this continued success they have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join the team and develop their career in the business.

ACCOUNT HANDLER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure that broker presentations are auctioned and administered in a timely and efficient manner
  • To ensure that quotations via the Broking desk are delivered on time with all the relevant information
  • To assist in interpreting Broker needs and provide solutions
  • Liaising with Underwriters and insurers ensuring opportunities are maximised
  • To ensure the correct recording of all Broking Desk placements
  • To assist with the preparation of Management Information as required
  • To provide additional support to help the Commercial Desk Team to ensure mid-term adjustments and quotes are auctioned in a timely and effective manner

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Experience in a Commercial Insurance Account Handler
  • Property, Retail, Combined Packages & D&O insurance experience preferred but not essential would be very advantageous
  • Ability to organise self and own work
  • Questioning and evaluation of client needs
  • Ability to build relationships - internal & external
  • Communication skills: telephone, verbal & written
  • Selling and cross selling
  • Rapport building with clients and underwriters
